iWord instructions
- Open
image in Photoshop
- Save
as ÒiNameÓ on thumbdrive
- Create
a new layer and hide the background layer by clicking on the eye (this
layer is for backup only)
- Use
magnetic lasso tool to lasso the silhouette
- Delete
the silhouette (make sure to you are working on the copied layer)
- Paint
bucket the image black
- Select
inverse, delete background
- Create
new layer
- Deselect
everything
- Paint
bucket a bright color
- Move
layers by dragging so that background copy (black silhouette) is in front
of the new bright colored layer
- Edit
– free transform, to make image larger/smaller to desired position
and double click
- Use
zoom (apple +/- or zoom button on toolbar), and eraser tool to fix up the
detailsÉsmooth out silhouette edges, paint back in some black details that
got cut off
- Use
text tool to add iWord.
Decide on font, size, and placement. To go back in and edit text, you must click on the text
layer
- Use
the paintbrush tool to add minimal details. Be sure to be working on the right layer (silhouette layer
or background layer)
